This coming July 13-23 , 2016 we travel with a church youth group from Shoreview, MN back to Catadupa for yet another construction project and community VBS! Do you want to come?
During the U. of Minnesota spring break in March, Diana and John trained the Christ Community Church team from Fort Collins in preparation for the trip. We brought them through a “cross-cultural orientation” which is a requirement for all our service project groups coming to Catadupa. This is shaping up to be a dynamic group of young people! Plus, our oldest son Christopher and Joelle with their 2 young kids are coming (ages 2 and 5), so this should be an interesting trip for all of us. We are so excited! What a time this will be for the Sanny’s in the mountains of St. James Parish, West Indies with these wonderful villagers in Catadupa.
It’s quite a joy for us to give these young people a chance to serve in this culture and see the hands of God touch other’s lives through their own hands & hearts. Prayers asked for Christ Community Church of Fort Collins, CO as they prepare to come!
Please pray that our service project will:
-help us meet the practical and spiritual needs of this community
-help us begin to see what God has planned for their lives
-help us learn to work together both physically and spiritually
-help us learn to cope with one another in difficult situations
-help us gain a deeper understanding of that it means to be a family in Christ
-help us develop a deeper understanding of who God is
-help us develop a more thankful heart for the blessings God has given to all of us
-help us gain a new perspective on Scripture as we see the world through the eyes of the poor and within another culture
-help us discover new dimensions to our personal relationship with God through Christ
NOTE: If you know anyone who would like to go serve with us, or yourself, please inquire! There’s always plenty of room and welcome!

May 2014 - Kingdom of Tonga – Youth With A Mission trip
My teaching, equipping, training dates for the Kingdom of Tonga, previously scheduled for this past December, (my 10th straight year speaking at the U. of the Nations, Tonga), has been delayed until this coming May, 2014. A relative of a leader had passed away, causing a lengthy grieving and mourning process, and then a typhoon seriously damaged communities in a neighbor island causing teams to leave Lafalafa YWAM campus and do rescue/restoration work. School dates were changed, and I have been scheduled to return this mid-May. Almost all my funds are in, and we are deeply gratefully to all of you in helping maintain my presence and ministry in this mission outpost so far out in the south pacific.

Website Under Construction!
As of February 2014 we are building this website for our Jamaica and Tonga mission projects so many of you can have better access to what you are investing in. Up until now, word-of-mouth and newsletters have been sufficient to attract teams to go, but we are looking to expand our numbers. A good website is a bit expensive, therefore we are working on a way to build a site that is both catchy and inexpensive. (Or outside funding to develop this well). We hope this is exciting news for you. We would also love to be able to post our project videos on this site, along with pictures showing what we are accomplishing in these places. This is a work in progress; let us know if you see anything that needs improving on here!
